EXPLORATION
By exploring the dynamic nature of light, shadow can in turn be manipulated to create a variety of spatial experiences and qualities. Through the use of slatted ceilings, the lighting conditions of the surface and subsurface structures are made highly variable. The variations in light and shadow allow different types of activities to occur within the same place throughout the day, better accommodating the inhabitants’ individual preferences.
